The KOTIBA Multi-Purpose Hall Project

Kampung Salambigar, Wednesday, October 2025 / 23 Rabiulakhir 1447 – The groundbreaking ceremony officially marking the commencement of construction works for the KOTIBA Multi-Purpose Hall Project was held at the project site with a Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony.

The ceremony was officiated by The Honourable Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Member of the Legislative Council.

The Multi-Purpose Hall is being constructed on a 3.00-acre site, complete with basic infrastructure such as a sports court, office, surau (prayer room), meeting room, facilities for persons with disabilities, and other related infrastructure.

The project is valued at approximately BND $800,000.00 and is scheduled for completion within 18 months. The project is managed and implemented by the appointed contractor, Salsadil Sdn Bhd.

This official event signifies the start of the construction works of the KOTIBA Multi-Purpose Hall, a project envisioned to provide facilities and services to the residents of:

  • Kampung Salambigar
  • Kampung Sungai Orok
  • Kampong Sungai Hanching
  • Kampong Tanah Jambu

The construction of the KOTIBA Multi-Purpose Hall is part of Koperasi Persatuan TIBA (KOTIBA)’s strategic investment plan, aiming to establish a new income stream for the cooperative and to support sustainable socio-economic development, benefiting shareholders of KOTIBA.

Once completed, the hall is expected to serve as a hub for religious, community, cultural, and economic activities, especially those focused on youth development anchored in the national philosophy of Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB).

Also present at the ceremony were the Chairman, Secretary, Board Members of the Cooperative, KOTIBA Subcommittee Members, Acting Village Heads of Kampung Salambigar & Sungai Hanching, Heads of Government Departments and senior officers, representatives from the contractor, and the appointed project consultant, Arkitek Gemilang Latiff.
